Default AMD Announces NATIVE quad core CPU tape out

http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=3797

Thats K8L folks, "the conroe killer".

To clear some stuff up
There will be a K8 quad core CPU, but K8 is not native quad core-Won't require new tape ouu

K8L is native quad core, and would require a new tape out

with this logic, These quad cores mentioned are in fact K8L

I can't wait for the quad-core procs. Just imagine what it'll be like with reverse-hyperthreading :D I'm also not planning on buying another DX9 card. I'm waiting for DX10. That's going to be awesome too 8)

Reverse Hyperthreading was a sick joke by The Inq. Doesn't exist as far as we can tell

I never heard about it being a joke... Do you have a link? All Google gave me was a bunch of forum topics about it and none of them seemed to have cited their claim.

But I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see them develop reverse-hyperthreading. Even if it's not in the CPUs they're making right now and it actually was a joke, it may have sparked some good ideas :) I think it's a good idea at least.
