| Fresh off the DailyTech press, it looks like the next generation of AM2/AM3 processors (code named Deneb) will feature support for both DDR2 and DDR3 with the onboard memory controller! This is a major milestone, never before has an AMD integrated memory controller supported more than one memory standard type! Quote:

| Hmm, I'm thinkin' that there are gonna be a lot of delays. it seems to me that AMD/ATI are famous for delays (R600) so I'm not really that excited. Thanks for the heads up, though, Blake. ![]() Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 | DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL | 2GB G.Skill 800MHz | EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB | Silverstone Decathlon 650W | Western Digital 250GB SATA II | ||||||||||||||

| OH, there's absolutely nothing wrong with quad cores, and I wasn't trying to say there was. Since most of these new Phenom processors are native quad core parts, that's just what I referred to them as. I was trying to say the second round of AMD's Phenom's (45nm) may likely be worth waiting for over the first generation Phenom (65nm). | ||||||||||||||
