Socket7 (and later some Socket370) was the socket that fit both AMD (K6, K6-2, K6-3) and Intel procs from around the 386 days until the release of Slot1 (Pentium2 and early PIIIs) and SlotA (the first Athlons) were announced.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I've pulled some great stuff out of the dumpsters around here, a toaster oven and food dehydrator that look and work like new, a room fan that lasted 3 years, a set of stereo speakers I use for my computer, a 20 gallon fish tank with all the equipment, a full size bed frame, refracting telescope and then a $200+ camera tripod to go with it. Lots of goodies to be had.
Any pics of these cases by chance? I might be interested. Got another couple of family builds possibly coming up. Thanks Bailey.

The garbage folks have already hauled them off, but they were OLD, like around 95ish so by today standards a motherboard and components wouldn't fit in them. Also they had bad rust spots and the front panel was busted on two of them. I didn't even bother bringing them in. If you need some cheapy cases, I've used Raidmax and Foxconn in their $20 segment that fit the bill just fine. Avoid the PSUs though.
