Funny how people trivialize pets. I couldn't imagine losing my dog or either cat, they are our kids.

Ahhhh Quakindude, man I am so sorry to hear this!!!!

I remember posting a couple of months ago, when you thought that you might have to put the pup down, and that was hard!!!! Sorry to hear that, that time finally came

One positive thing to look at, the pup is completely out of pain now man

Hope you and your wife feel better real soon bro!!!!!

Sorry to hear of your loss Quakindude. You did the right thing to stop her pain.Had to do the same for a couple of dogs myself,it was better than feeling helpless to them.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement and sympathy folks. My wife is still fairly upset about the whole ordeal. I got up this morning and was looking for the little furball before I set my feet on the floor. I've come to a point already where I'm just glad the dog is out of pain. My wife will get there soon.

I am not a dog person but it is disheartening to lose a pet that has been in the family for some time. Sorry to hear about the loss!
