Now, now. Let's not stereotype people from California. You couldn't possibly know every single one of the 36 million inhabitants that live in that state, so lumping them all into one category without due process is really unfair for you to say that about them.

You're absolutely correct. I don't know every one of the 36 million people who live here. But I have lived here long enough to know that there are many people who do fit that category. I have met and worked with many of them. Of course there are good, moral people here like anywhere else, but there are also those who fit into the "less magnanimous" category. However, I have found that whenever I leave this entity known as Southern California, people seem to change in temperment and attitude. And while not necessarily true of every person, most people I've encountered in other places become more human and decent to one another - more down to earth and willing to give you the time of day. That's all I was saying. I wasn't trying to make a stereotype.

You should see all the magnanimous people on our freeways...LOL!

The most I've seen of Texas - with the exception of a 27 hour Amtrak ride a long time ago - is El Paso, and the closest I've been to Colorado was Farmington, NM. In each case, things are just different from SoCal.

Anyway - back to the topic - I am getting to ready to play in the computers, and I'm looking at Nvidia's site to get some new chipset and video drivers, and I saw a thing that will evaluate my system to see if it will run Vista. My system passes the minimum requirements, but fails for recommended and optimal requirements. According to this thing, my CPU is the only thing really standing in the way. It barely passes on mimimum, but fails on the other two. If I had a different CPU (say, an X2 or C2D) then I'd be good to go. The rest of the system either highly or fully passes for Vista use. Go, Me!

I'll be back later for an update.
