| Colonel Calamity | wow the only package I am expecting anytime soon is my very first ever SATA hd (that I ordered earlier today, 80GB WD SATA3) for my Athlon64 system in my sig... luckily I was also smart enough to remember to order the adapter piece since my psu doesn't have any SATA power plugs... now just need to find a cheap source for a 20pin female to 24pin male adapter since my psu is 20pin and mobo is 24pin, newegg wants $4 a piece plus $5 S&H, costs more to ship that tiny piece of plastic and wires then it does that 80GB hd... I have the system running right now anyways only using 20 pins but no add-in cards or PCIE video. Just using the onboard everything and a temporary ATA66 10.2GB WD hd I had laying around with fresh Ubuntu install on it.... might as well fold with it as is. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | EVERBODY DOWN, THIS IS A MOFO THREAD HIJACKING! If anyone is wondering, The x-fi is blowing me away. And I did some experiements and fixed my volume control on my speakers. Mod thread coming for that, and possibly a user view for my card. I've seen about a 13 FPS overall increase from onboard (Realtek AC'97) and about a 4 FPS overall increase from my old sound card. Sound quality is insane, not to mention EAX! Benchmarks between the X-FI and my old one CoD 2 - Old: Good New: WOWZERZ BF2 Old: Ok New: WOW! Is that a *thwack!* DragonForce Old: Great, but only bangs head a little New: Even better, Bangs head alot. So there you go! BTW, My sound card now costs more than my Video Card :s: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe @ 2.80GHz Cooler Master GeminII - Thanks Rich and HL!
