Default Re: Voting against English as Americas Language

I would love to see a federal law making English the national language and end the waste of time and money companies put into making multi-language descriptions on their products. I can understand if it is a product sold across north and central america but many of these items say "Made in USA" yet the instruction booklet is printed in 5 different languages. Imagine all the paper waste that is happening just from this one action. It will appease the greenies since they will use less paper. It will use less ink to print all the extra wording, and the lack of alternate language printed material will force the illegals to learn our language instead of never learning it and being able to live life never needing to right here in the US.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Well the companies only do it because they sell in other countries but all government paperwork should be in English only. Anyone that doesn't understand it can either learn the language or get someone to read it to them.

They've always sold in other countries, but bilingual labels have been around for less than a decade.

Though, I have no sympathy for the companies, they do it to sell to the many Mexican immigrants, both legal and illegal. No one is forcing them to.

No, there were no "riders", "pork", or whatever. You just don't understand. They don't give a shit that the American people don't want the illegals to stay. They don't care what the American people want. They know better what we need than we do.

They would sell their very souls...if they had them...for a vote. They are banking on amnesty to get those potential millions of votes.

The bill in question was the second amnesty bill, that was nearly crammed down our throats in a midnight vote, sponsored by Kennedy and McCain. The amendment in question was the only thing that the Republicans were able to add, and it was defeated. Fortunately, the word got out a couple of days before the vote, and the second outcry from the American people against amnesty took place. McCain was furious...to say the least.
