Yeah ... I did a stint researching cables and found "WHAT" makes the real difference if any ... and bought a whole load of cables at ridiculous discount prices at or below cheapo cables ...

So while they are better ... not vastly so ... they are massive "all the bells and whistles" features ... and they were "stupid cheap" ... owning them provides help when tracking a problem down ... starting with ... [theres no way it is my cables]

Only thing is I had to buy big tool boxes to keep them orderly.

I've not seen any difference at all between my Monster Component cables and the ones that came with my DVD player.

Not much else for me to add to this topic. Many knowledgeable folks here already. My only advice is if you aren't happy with picture quality from your DVD player at 480i, get you an upconverting DVD player. My Sony DVD player upconverts to 1080i and while not as accurate as a true 1080i player, it does make a significant difference in picture quality. Especially with my LCD TV.

There have been all sorts of tests that show that there is no use using the high dollar "monster" cables for any video or audio solution unless the signal travels more than 60-80 feet. If it is 6 feet or even 20 feet to the rear satellite speakers, the regular wires that came with the equipment should be fine.
Only when you plan on giving those speakers 50W+ each do they need the larger gauge wire.

Thanks HL and Corsair!
