O.K. now...didn't think this was going to stir up things like this.

Lets forget the post count of current members, and the content since it doesn't matter at the end of the day we're all a family here and have laughs (and of course personal opinions), and talk about the future and what's to come!

And I really do like the idea of custom colours! Panda Man could, for example, just be able to change his name to that colour.

Few things though if that happens;

DISABLE any gold, red, or green, I'd say of any shade - it's important to segregate the administrators, moderators, and subscribers from the rest of us - they have those titles for a reason. Segregate in no way except for name colour, by the way.

I'd also make sure not to allow bolding, italicizing, or any other alterations to the name except for of course the attribute in question.

Just some thoughts.

I say we match our name colors up to the terror alert scale based on the threat level each member poses.
What ever happened to that stupid scale anyways? They no longer have it on the news tickers.

That was one of the better ones I've heard in a while Dean...ahh man that was great!

By the way, I have to subscribe ASAP...that signature size is getting me (dare I say) slightly aroused?

I think, with my sub-600 post mark, I've jumped the highest ranking already...=[ this can't be good...

But it's DEFINITELY intriguing, along with that larger avatar size. Just need to setup the funds and the payment situation. The second I can do it, it shall be done. Even sans the signature/avatar upgrades, and the other stuff, it's more than worth it to contribute to the best place on the web, and I will generously do so (again, as soon as I can, bare with me! My 24" baby hasn't even come in yet=[).

but am open to suggestions.

as far as features and adding them, thats what separates normal members from the VIP section....its $1 a month, and 100% of that goes back into the site and you guys indirectly.....as in giveaways, contests, better reviews, etc
you should actualy put these next to user names depending on howmany posts the user has made.

well, there won't be custom colors....I drew the line at custom titles.....The colors stay as is....people who contribute to keeping HL online deserve special privileges and such. we provide a lot of stuff to people, besides good reviews and fun forums.....you have the Newegg Article Writing Contest every month and stuff we'll toss in occasionally to get people involved.
