Am I the only one that thinks this is all horse crap? "I'm a raging zelda fan; have been since the beginning" I seriously doubt that! I think the whole public gaming rage is an insult. Supermodels trying to play WoW and claim they are now nerds? wtf? I too think it's sad that with a script card and a "hot" body, they can be "great" spokespeople. I'd like to go back in time and monitor these people that are claiming that they're diehard gamers/fans. I bet they'd be trashing all of the "nerds" in school. Big freakin' joke. Models obviously didn't get to where they are by being nerdy and playing games...... [/rant]

I agree. They got to where they're at by sucking up (literally) and spending too much time trying to be in the "in-crowd". Tell me that these vapid, insipid women weren't self absorbed, materialistic prima donna's and jock daters back in the day. Now, as adults, they claim to be gamers to the -nth degree to fit in with the gamer crowd? It's all BS, and anyone who thinks otherwise needs their head checked.

I know of many "hot" women in IT and when I was in High-School knew several that were not just vacuous eye candy. (this was 20+ years ago before computer classes too, back before the home PC was common.)
Yes it is the "in" thing to be a geek now but that does not mean that every hot woman that is into gaming or IT is lying just to be IN..

amen, Athildja, well i knew a few hot chicks into IT world myself, i've played with them with gameboy [my hot childhood friend], super nintendo [hot classmates], and also when the CS was still in beta, not that old though...

hey its not bad if this chicks with suck up to be in the IN Crowd, i wouldnt mind them sucking up kidding aside, no really, there are a lot of hot chick in gaming before and now, you just dont notice them coz they OWN and PWND like a guy... and they curse like a sailor too...

I have seen several of them on techie type TV shows or been in tech for some years now so some are just jumping into the "I'm a geek now" and others do have geek roots like most of us here

Well to speak for Veronica Belmont, when she was with BOL she was exceptional and would really get into the arguemnts. She was also a pretty serious WoW player in the guild.

Cali Lewis also seems to hold her ground really well with all her opinions with tech and such.

And Morgan Webb...well she is cute.
