Me and some friends at my old workplace found a room full of detergents and cling film. Sparing some details we basicaly wrapped ourselves in it and had the worlds greatest soap sud breakdancing contest!

Ive done other mad things but that one is the most recent lol.

I have no shortage of Spontaneous in my life. Most really stupid things I have done.

February 7th 1968 my 18th birthday. I was in Ohio where my parents moved from NY. Columbus or more specific Worthington, Ohio a place I had come to hate because I missed NYC. I got drunk alone on 3.2% shit beer and drove the 1967 Volkswagon I was making payments on that my parents bought to the Port Columbus Airport. I purchased a One Way ticket to NY JFK for about $50. Landed in NY and called my friends to come get me. No luggage and no nothing other than about a hundred bucks. Finally called my parents a week later to tell them the car was at the airport.

Yeah, that was sort of spontaneous. Thank god none of my kids ever turned out like me or I would have had to kill them.

Ron

Eesh, I re-read that and didn't mean to come off all Discartes or deep like that! I farted and wiped my nose on my shirt to make up for it. I'm sorry!

I just think it's a much more fun life to live if it's not taken so seriously and just act and react. Obvious faults in that, but again...it's no fun if the faults are thought about before hand.

Anyone around me will tell ya how random I am. The first thing I did today was open my eyes and yell "Eureka! Pickles are no compliment for pancakes!" Means nothing and should be obvious; it was just on my mind for whatever reason, so I yelled it out for others to know of my revelation. Alas, we all had pancakes...and no pickles.

That's not spontaneity, that's OCPD.

I had pancakes, eggs and ham for supper tonight.... sorry no green eggs and ham.

I am overall a normal or slightly odd person in real life but I make up for it online with my screwball antics and my off the wall dreams. Last nights dream was based on a Isaac Asimov book, Pebble in the Sky. I was walking up to check the mail and WHOOSH I was transported instantly some long time (like 15-20,000 years) into the future. The language was different, everything was different... after a few days there on guy took me to a historian and I had to use some ancient language translating OLED transcribing electronic paper stuff to write out what I was trying to say and right below my words it scrawled it out in their language. Right about the time they tried to feed me some food I woke up...

My spontaneity takes place outside of my regular life (partially online and always in my dreams)...

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Ironically...you got the nail on the head. Precisely. If it wasn't precise, I'd have to tell you about it...and perhaps how to aim better next time. I had a post to Quake in regard to his venting thread that revealed exactly this, so I kinda kept it to a future PM. Meant or not...I am OCPD by all means!

To confuse myself even more, I just dumped the GF and her kid off at the airport. What does a single guy in San Diego do? Stopped at the pub, had a Guiness and Harps, sat at the Miramar runway and watched jets dog fight until the sunset...Top Gun style, got home, closed the windows, played some Dire Straits at 8, and wondered exactly if this is spontaneity, regression, geekdom, or just plain me. I wouldn't have pondered it if I hadn't responded in this thread!

By the way, it's geekdom, because I reverted to the computer.
