According to the USPS, the 4th of December is the last day to send packages to Iraq & Afghanistan via Priority Mail and the soldiers recieving them in time for Christmas.

Got his box in the mail today, supposed to arrive in theater in 7-10 days. How long it takes to actually get to him once it is in Iraq is anyones guess. From my experience it can take anywhere from a day or two to a couple weeks. I was in such a hurry to get it mailed I forgot the toilet paper...

One of my wifes letters took 4 months to get to me.

When I was in Iraq I usually got my boxes in about a week, 2 at the Max. When I first got there it took a month or longer, but once everything was established it was pretty quick. Now OIF/OEF Mail has APO priority. So its actually faster to get a package to Iraq or Afghanistan then it its to Germany or Korea. Where Blair is at he will get his mail much faster then most. So figure about a week.

Box of goodies just sent out, baked goods and candies. The wife's baked stuff ought to get him out of active duty for awhile.

For those still sending you need the customs paperwork from the USPS and you only need the larger white one.

I'm hoping that since I live so close to McGuire/Ft Dix (I can spit & hit it from my house) that I'll get lucky & the stuff will get there quick. lol

Baked peanut butter cookies last night, hopefully will finish tomorrow with others, then ship Monday. No baking today, going to a tree lighting in dad's honor.

APO's are actually in NJ. So your mail will probably hit him in about 5 days.

Woo Hoo! Best news I've heard all day lol

He told me via pm that it takes at best 10 to 14 or so days, sometimes longer if the convoys cant make it through.
