I think that would be a great thing to change in America. I don't know what his plans are per se, but our prison system is stupid. There are way too many people in prison for non-violent and non-major crimes.

Personally, I think if they don't wish to follow the laws that protect people, they should not be treated like said people.

If you walk up to someone and shoot him in the head, and threaten any witnesses with doing the same, you definitely should NOT be allowed back into normal America ever again. Ever. You also shouldn't get any luxuries for the rest of your life, including TV, ability for parole or anything. You gave that right up when you killed someone in cold blood. You should be thrown in a locked down area and treated like the scum you are.

I would like to point out I am FOR the death penalty in extreme cases.

Anyway, thats what I think about the prison system. Take it or leave it, its my opinion (except that first part)

I'm glad Canada has no death penalty, but we need to toughen the sentencing guidelines. It's possible to kill, and get out of jail in 3 years here. That is not good IMHO.
