It's the last...the VERY last...2-stroke allowed for sale in America. It's an Aprillia RS50. I'd been eyeballing it for a year and just had to have it. I didn't have an excuse, so I came up with one.

I ride 600's and liter bikes and the girls in our coven of friends won't touch them...too scary. So I bought that little thing and have been getting them on it really easily. One by one they end up getting lessons to ride, taking the MSF courses, getting their licenses, and moving up in bikes...when they wouldn't have dreamed of doing it before.

It's still a fancy way of saying "moped". There's not enough power to work the thing in traffic as it can't kick it's own butt out of the way let alone get out of harm's way. So it shouldn't, and won't, ever see a freeway. I've got a cylinder head kit for it but it's not done serving it's duties as a trainer yet. Three more new riders, and then it's getting a little work done.

It's neat though having it. I just like toys, but there's more joy in getting others to ride when they were sooooo scared of normal bikes prior. The GF just didn't like sitting on the CBR600RR, even with me holding it up. And she knows how I cherish the Ducs and wouldn't even throw a leg over 'em in fear of dropping them. Since then she's rode the 600 quite well, been on an SV650 the last year, and is now shopping Ducati Monsters. My buddy's wife is about done and shopping the little SV's and the Kawasaki 250Rs.

He hates me now :D It use to be like the Golf outings where we just get away from them for a while. Well he invited his wife to golf, so I invited them to ride with us! EO, right? It's more fun this way, and I personally like it a lot. Riding is more than getting away IMO, but sharing the freedom that it offers. You can blow away any problems by just saddling up and heading out...group or not.

Now I'm working on her daughter...I was no different in age when I started. Maybe a year or so, but not enough to matter.

Hehe, that was my first car! '66 fastback 2+2 HiPo (GT). The thing was a blast! Dad found two in some field for $500 a pop, and obviously didn't know one was a GT. Rally pac, toploader, just needed TLC. Two years later we sold it for $32K and got me into vette's...un-willingly.

Now I'm an older fart and can't find one, let alone one that needs TLC. Been looking for 10 years, can't find them. Ivy green and mean...

Rough, rough shape, some stupid pontiac engine in it i believe, and it's an automatic.......so i dunno who wants it but it's there
Interested is it's not cut up to get the Poncho to fit in there. A good shell is really all I need. If it's cut, it's not good.

Doing a '66 coupe for the daughter, and if anything else could use parts if it's square. My floor boards aren't gone, but could be replaced. And the quarterpanel has some cancer.

My 1996 Dodge Ram with 5.9L gas loving engine. Except for the crappy dashboard, this truck is in mint condition. Just about to turn 100K. Sure am glad I didn't put that 6" lift and 33" tires on it.

Thanks man. Yeah, it's sad... I hooked that car up from completely stock.
I know my taste in cars and mods.. so be sure that the next project is gonna be sick!
Don't know what I want yet though.. nothing really tickles my fancy too much right now.
Gonna wait and see what the next generation of Japanese sports cars looks like (GT-R, NSX, SUPRA).

EDIT: Maybe a Porsche 996 Turbo? But... $60k for a used porsche?? I don't know...
