Excellent rant, Robo. Really well done. But yeah, I agree. iPod's and their fans can shut their mouths about how great their MP3 players are. These are the same people that are so incensed with the idea that there is no other alternative than Apple's that they forget that times have changed. There are other, better alternatives out there. iPod is not the end all when it comes to consumer electronics; Creative has demonstrated this, so has iRiver and so has Cowon.

In fact, I dare anyone to step into this thread and try to convince me that the iPod is more feature-rich, more cost effective, more better than any other MP3 solution out there. The fact of the matter is that it won't happen. There are simply too many great companies producing iPod killing players on the market today.

iPod lives on because of its name, not its tech... simple as that.

I simply used my Cowon A2 as examples since I have been using it for the past 2 years almost (2 years this december). I haven't used any other players other than the iRiver iHP-120 which was discontinued 3 years ago.

I just wanted to make a point that there are better players out there than just iPods.

Ahhh, thats funny! Don't have a wife... or gf... (or life...) so can't really comment much. haha

The ONLY reason I use an iPod is because I got one free. If I hadn't, I would have never thought for a minute to get one over another MP3 player.

oh back to the topic of Apple dum dum, its true i can vouch you can create biological weapon with an ipoD... simple trigger mechanism with a powedered or airtight container Viral/Barterial Plague with a ipoD casing, and you makes yourself a sick terrorist... (although dont do this, for God and Country).

but makes it silly why some principle in life makes you extreme, like a terrorist for example. there is much to life to cherish, like your friends...

(btw i'm just bringing this thread back to the topic of using IpoD for threatening object, if this violates any rule by any chance please delete it or edit it...TY and my apologies)
