| physical disciplinary action is necessary for the growth of a child......it formed me into what I am today: an ambitious, integrity-laden man.....I got a LOT of spankings as a child, but it tapered off at around the age of 10. Finally learned my lesson, lol |

| same here. I hated it at the time but now I know it kept me away from trouble. I think I rather had some spanking when needed, then sitting in jail later and wondering about my parents being their fault to spoil me instead of putting me back on track when needed. people have to realize there is a big difference between a drunk parent who abuses his family for fun - or discipline, which is applied when and if it's necessary, for a good purpose.
