Hell, I dont read it for the reviews I read it for tips and tricks. Hell after this mornings constiutional I now know how to surf porn anonymously, and how to make vista work and that I really dont need it! As far as the reviews If I want a review I come here or bit-tech, or one of the few other trustworthy sites that can give me a better view of the product than I could if I had it in my hands.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Paid programs do get recommended, but only when there's a worthwhile advantage over the free alternative. I can tell you from firsthand experience that there's no 'push' to get readers to spend money on anything, and free or low cost solutions are always the preferred method when appropriate.

One place says it is best of the best in its category and the majority of others places rate it low... definitely something buggy there.
MaxPC reviewed and rated the My Book Pro II an 8 (the My Book World received a 5), and I would hope they wouldn't toss out their own analysis when compiling a recommended list and base it off of other sites or Newegg commentary. We certainly don't do that on HL either. And FWIW, the Seagate Freestyle Pro 750GB supplanted the WD this month.

yeah....lets move on to HL related stuff.......We've always tried to distance ourselves from MPC and other external endeavors.....we don't ever want to put Paul in a tough spot.
