Depends on the person. My dad was 69 when he got sick; he drove great until he started chemo. After that he pretty much stopped driving because he was too weak.

I have an 83 year old neighbor that still drives. He has a pickup & a Grand Marquis. I pass him when going to town (he's coming home) & drives fine.

Your neighbor would pass the driving tests with flying colors and be probably one of the safest drivers on the road over 80.
In fact he probably is already the safest driver on the road over 80....

The pole-raiser got charged because any time there is a death like this, somebody must be charged. Convisting him, on the other hand, is something entirely different. The old buzzard should have been paying attention. Death by misadventure, IMO.
