I'm glad you two made it out ok. It'll be a long road to recovery (been there done that with Hurricane Rita), but keep your chin up about it. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks again folks! You guys just don't know what it means to have folks you've never met in RL pulling for you like you guys have.

We found out today that our house is a total loss. When Ben and I were in the hallway all huddled up, I thought I had seen daylight underneath the baseboards and walls for about 10 seconds....I then quickly dismissed it as reflections from the hole in the roof over us. That was kinda morbidly cool looking up into the middle of a tornado and seeing clear blue skies at the top. Anyway, it turns out that I did indeed see daylight under the walls around us. The house has been shifted two inches off the concrete pad. The 2x4's in the attic are all splintered and snapped. The ceiling in our master bedroom caved in today about 10 minutes after we were done pulling the wood furniture out. So the good Lord was looking after my stupid butt once again! "wink"

Our spirits are high and to be quite honest with you guys, the support you've shown has made a difference. Thank you all again and Capper, I'll have a P.O. Box address for you tomorrow. I just can't find the piece of paper I wrote it down on atm. LOL!

WOW, that is a scary story! Glad to hear you all are still in good health and good spirits though.

Having a PayPal Account isn't necessary. You can use a credit card or debit card in the donation area.

HardwareLogic will be raffling off hardware and accepting donations to raise money to help out one of our own, Tom Black (Quakindude). For those of you who don't know the story, Tom and his family lost their home when a tornado made a direct hit on it in Enterprise, AL.

A $5 donation, payable through the donate button at the top of this page, enters you into our raffle. At the end of March we'll randomly pick names from the list of donations and be giving out some pretty nice hardware from a variety of companies.

I've started this thread to keep everyone updated as to the status of the HL Raffle/Donations. Since a lot of people are donating and are not members, they have no way of knowing whats going on....so I'll keep this updated with a list of those who have donated, and a total amount.

Please help us spread the word on other forums and any site where people might be interested in participating. Use the "Linkback" button at the top of the thread to direct people here, and make sure they know they do not have to join the forums or do anything more than donate money to a good cause to be eligible for the raffles we'll be running at the end of the month.....check back often for updates.
