Guys, I'm simply smoked. Blondie, thanks a ton. We don't really have an address right now. We aren't going to be staying with my Mom for long as she has severe allergies to our pets. We have been offered a furnished house for a month. Of course, we are still paying our mortgage payment while the house is destroyed. The Army is trying to set us up on post. Hopefully, that will work out. As soon as I get to a place where I can regularly check my email and we have a solid physical address, I'll let you guys know. The TV didn't survive. The screen was pushed in on the lower right side and when we moved it today, the screen just fell out of it. There's 3 colored lights and a mirror in there. kinda trippy seeing that. We got a ton of stuff cleaned up and out front. The pile of debris in front of the house literally blocks your view of the house from the street it's so tall. FEMA, Red Cross, Salvation Army and the local VFW were out in force. Landscapers from three states were in the area today using their equipment to clear our land. It's just a mess and to be quite frank, I'm overwhelmed by the whole thing. I'd like to crawl into bed and not come out for a year. I'll keep you guys posted on the developments. We are well insured, and since th ehouse has major structural damage, that's a good thing. I had more insurance on the house than the wife wanted, but now it's a good thing for sure. I want to thank all of my friends here for your support and generosity. My wife started bawling...ok, we both did, when I told her what you guys were doing. Thanks a lot folks. I hope you never have to know how much this means to someone at a time like this. | Quake, dude, my utmost respect for you and your family managing to pull together and keep a positive spin on all that's happened to you guys. I cannot fathom the pain and sense of loss you must feel right now. Suffice to say, you have friends here at HL that will help take care of you and your family in any way we can. And, as inane as this may sound, whatever I can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask. I'm afraid that I don't have much to offer, but if you need anything, I'll do my best to give you a hand. Keep us updated when you can! Take care, and godspeed. Last edited by garetjax; March 2nd, 2007 at 20:00. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | well, both Thermaltake and ECS were very understanding and will be replacing the review samples that were lost (Really great people). The items we'll be reviewing are ECS' 650i chipset motherboard and Thermaltake's new Big Water cooling kit. It'll probably be a couple weeks, but I've got articles I'll be posting this week, and Paul will be adding some for next week INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |
