Not to be inflammatory, but that whole posts sounds like something cut and pasted from Fox News. I mean, seriously, you are basically making the excuse that nothing is his fault, and anything that can conceivably be tied to him isnt his fault, it was forced on him.

I like the guy, I watch Fox news (as much as i watch CNN, MSNBC, BBC, and listen to NPR)....but seriously man, the guy has completely bent us over the barrel for the last eight years.....and I say this as a veteran that voted for him twice.

I don't think he's a bad guy but was not up to the job and was influenced by others too much. Glad to here the military did well as the rest of us sunk. Expect cuts in the military again as the economy will not support it much longer. Just a guess on that but it will be hard for any president to spend so much on defense when the economy is sinking.

Oh ... he screwed up. He is accountable. We will suffer for it. I'm not excusing that.

I choose to believe he did the best he could without disrupting the inevitable ... I hate that I fully believe that and every bit of research I have points to that. [Years and years of research and extraordinary inside knowledge.]

I find fault with the people far more than the leader. Perhaps that is what I did not make clear. [I include myself in that fault finding by the way.]

Secondly I find fault with the media [that the sheeple support] and their symbiotic rhetoric leading the dumb to the slaughter.

I used "manchurian" specifically to illustrate an "idea" of manipulated or causative control that I in fact am familiar with. [Specific to "Monarch" or "Marionette" mind control programming.] I have a significant history in relation to these things that I will not talk about in open forum beyond my above reference.

We live in a developed sophisticated intelligent society with years of technical resource and decades of power play maneuvers being consistently operative at many levels behind the scenes. Conspiracy and power struggles and the many forces of such have always been in the "Halls of power" for thousands of years. The intrigue is far superior today and far more sophisticated. [No one really knows how much and to what extent.]

With what I know ... some unusual and very inconsistent behavior and bad decision making came from his office [as well as much good] ... making me believe that direct and indirect manipulation was involved with many of his decisions.
[He still screwed the pooch and their is no one else to blame.]

President Bush made the decision to invade Iraq....again, right war, wrong time. Without even considering the consequences, he cost us the lives of several thousand young men and women, not just those killed battle, but those who will never be the same....and to what end? We are now almost 6 years into an occupation that has cost us conservatively $500 billion dollars and alienated every country in the region.....again, right war, wrong time.

I have said on several occasions that I think all politicians are self serving scumbags, and there is plenty of blame to go around, but aside from the war, the President inaction on the financial crisis until it was too late has left a bitter taste in my mouth..

Joe, as to how the military is treated, they are always boosted during war......thats just a fact. If soldiers were not treated as well as possible, then we'd have to reintroduce the draft.

As to the media, I couldnt agree more. I was listening to a piece on NPR about how the media feeds off peoples fears, and saw it firsthand. Over the Thankgiving holiday, I had several family members here. To listen to them talk world affairs and politics was crazy....."Obama is a Muslim", "Obama was norn in Kenya", etc........its like people believe anything they see or hear, as long as it supports what they want to believe.

Spending Money on defense creates jobs, and improves the economy. If you cut defense spending you will put even more civilians out of work and add to the crisis. Something Democrats don’t understand. The economy was good in the 90’s so when Clinton cut military spending it didn’t affect the economy that much. Now if you cut Defense spending you will not only cost jobs, but you will shut down companies and in some cases whole towns. Spending money on Defense doesn’t just help the military; it puts food on the table for many Americans.

Then we should start a world war to improve the economy. Lets start with Iran.

Amen to that, look at the base closures done during Clinton's time in office.....it killed whole communities.

I'm very encouraged by a project President-Elect Obama was talking about. Basically creating jobs by rebuilding our infrastructure. Rebuild roads, our power grid, bridges, etc. Doing something like this solves a multitude of problems while employing several thousand people.

War does improve the economy; WWII helped get us out of the Great Depression. The Iraq war isn’t helping that much this time, if anything it might actually be part of the problem, as far as the national dept is concerned.

There was a bunch of things that combined to get us out of the Great Depression......war just takes a lot of the focus off things like the economy.
