Absolutely! I can listen to Neil Cavuto and a host of others, however, when I walk out my front (or back, or side) door I see a different picture. Then I talk to friends in different states or read what friends in forums like HL post regarding the economy and I see the same damn picture. This is a far cry from what the guy on TV seems to see.

The same holds true for crime. Crime is down? Bullshit! Maybe the way crime is reported is down might be down or how much is reported might be down but someone is blowing smoke up someones ass if they expect me to believe crime is down. Hey, I even saw Cops in Las Vegas!

Now also interesting was the thread that ran with this subject some time back Yes, some people will pop for a new TV or computer with their refund. However, I saw a good number of people right here say they would beat down some debt. Things like paying off a credit card or other bills. Right on target in that the amount spent on consumables won't do shit!

Just My Take
Ron

What we need to do is get in with canada and come up with a strong currency like the Euro. I would say Mexico but hell they are worse off than we are.

Another thing you can do is buy one of these...

and put the rest on credit.

If we included Mexico in the new currency, it would be made out of recycled aluminum cans, or just use cans and bottles as currency.

hell Canada and Mexico rely so heavily on the US economy that when we are on the way down, they aren't too far behind, thats why it took so long for the canadian dollar to come to match the US dollar... if they weren't directly affected we would be seeing a larger gap

Hell, at the rate the US is going we will be back to trading for beads in no time. Maybe I can get some beads and a TeePee and some chopstix when China forecloses on my house.

I'm going to put the money back in the economy by moving to a warm weather state. Might as well be in comfortable climate when I'm sleeping under a bridge.

Me too!

I am just sick of the damn Gas Company gnawing at me every winter just so I can be warm.
