Yeah. When I saw this like yesterday I thought "whoa, crazy ass case, I'm buying".

Then I saw the price and thought of going in some shady business first so I could afford it. :P

Seen this also several years ago, back in the socket A days. Can't remember the exact details on the system, but the temps were pretty good!

I would of liked to see a display of the temps on that system

Oh yea, enthusiasts have been doing this in fish tanks and other enclosures for years now. If you're careful, anyone can submerge a PC. But I've never seen a submerged PC so well thought out and executed. Top end parts for around $4K? Thats pretty damn good too.

I like how they bring up that it is using modified/proprietary parts a few times in the review...how is this any different than Dell or Apple (not to mention several other OEM's) ? Yea, proprietary parts suck when they go bad and you're forced to buy at added cost from the OEM, but you're getting what you pay for (warranty).

I tried doing it with my laptop. I don't recommend it: such a mess and very difficult to type.

Retail parts come with warranties too, some of them up to a lifetime, and unlike proprietary components, your parts selection isn't gimped. Proprietary restrictions suck, and is a major reason why we advocate going the DIY route.

Back on topic, that is pretty damned cool that a vendor will attempt to sell this. Would make a killer conversation piece as a living room PC.

yeah, my computer is like the centerpiece of my living room. so its not enough to have all the latest parts and be super fast,,,

IT ABSOLUTELY MUST LOOK SUPER-COOL.

i looked everywhere for a high end computer that just looks totally baddazz...

Alienware= gaudy, Falcon NW= plain square box with awesome paint job, VooDoo Blackbird 2= nice innovative design,, i almost bought it, something told me to hold off for a bit though...

gonna have to save a bit more,, in order to afford both the new 2010/2009 Camaro SS and this new computer "Reactor".

:-)

If looks are your primary concern, just get the parts you want and have a case custom modded to your liking! MNPCTech does custom projects for people and they do some seriously incredible work (but it will cost you). That way you get the best of both worlds: a custom computer and bad ass, unique looks.
