I have learned to NEVER "rush" the order between Friday after 10AM CST until early Monday morning. It never "rushes" and you're out the money usually.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

The thing is...I wanted to delay the pay process by utilizing "their preferred account" or "Bill Me Later" process in order to have no payments for the winter and/or no interest for 3 mos.I did everything required as per the web page...only to dig deep days later to find out that the defered payment had ended in NOVEMBER! One may ask him/her self,"self, why is it still on that damn web page then"? sighs....well anyway,I recieved a CC from Harrahs this morn with 0% but no defered payments.Got half of it ok I suppose. Then I checked my order status to see where it was going so far,to see that the PC case will be shipped from CA..and everything else from NJ????Im gonna be sitting here with all them toys and nothing to put them in,what im figggerin.

Just as suspected...almost everything is here(missing free company of heros game) and no case till maybe Monday.Have to sit here and look at all this stuff for the whole weekend.Chatted with support about the game issue and was told I didnt order the combo deal....it was advertised in the header for the GPU that the game came with it,I dont know, probably my mistake,I guess. They did take care of the issue by telling me they will forgive it and as a 1 time gratuity, send me the game free of charge!I find that outstanding!

You got nuttin and I mean nuttin on me with the egg! Been some time ago I built my wife a new work machine. I ordered all the parts including the then latest and greatest motherboard from Intel. So all the parts come in and on a fine Saturday morning I begin my build. I lay out the Antec case and begin to open and unwrap the motherboard. Haven't even opened a beer yet. Something looks peculiar? Now considering I have an open case and a motherboard in my hand there are not many parts to worry about. Why the hell is the motherboard looking sort of backwards? Why do all the I/O ports seem on the wrong side? Then came that sinking feeling. I hate that feeling and dred that feeling. I knew what I did but looked at the motherboard box just to confirm my stupid move. Yep, ATX form factor case with a BTX form factor motherboard. The shit was not going to happen. Checked invoice and yep, got what I ordered. Damn!

OK, Monday morning I call New Egg after carefully washing egg (no pun intended) off my face. I explain I would like to return a motherboard because it is not defective, it is not broke, but it is because I was stupid enough to order the wrong one and yes, it is open. They found my stupidity humorous, gave me an RMA, there was no restocking fee and they shipped the correct motherboard immediately. Hell I was more than willing to pay a restocking fee. Nope, no problem.

That says alot for a vendor as they ate my mistake and promptly shipped what I really wanted. Pretty cool.

Ron

Meh, on several occasions, I've had the shipping dates mess up. They ended up refunding my shipping charge, which didn't really make me feel any better....

I just can't jump onto the Newegg love wagon. Ordered a stick of laptop memory on Dec. 30th and it just arrived yesterday (Jan. 7th), which is consistent with my past experiences with them. Not impressed.

Great story Ron, It's always good to hear that large retailers still look out for the customers!

the only thing i learned with NEwegg is order only at mondays and dont order @ Thursdays and Fridays... service is outstanding, RMA of wrong item purchase was Fast took me 3 days upon receipt of item by Newegg facility.

3 days guarantee only includes shipping not the processing time, and Rush is only good before 3pm Pacific Standard. to top everything i love NEwegg they havent let me down, UPS on other hand was a different story if my regular Delivery Guy is not working those relievers sucks they just toss most of the packages back and forth....
