And the bigger your tv the more it makes a difference. (most up converters) HD cable are 1080i now and there are a few that do 1080p and most tv's now will look great but the bigger it is the more the imperfections you will see it's just the nature of the beast! A 42" at 1080i will look better than a 65' at 1080i because it just easier to see the imperfections. But if you spend the big bucks on a nice tv then shell out for the dvd up converter it'll be less than $150.00 It would be really silly to spend a couple of thousand dollars for a nice tv that can be watched at 1080i or 1080p and watch it at 420p......!! Here are a couple of links for ya I used and I do have that Sony and looks and works nice. http://wize.com/best/dvd-players?c=google_dvd_players_best&s_kwcid=digital% 20oppo|595889786&gclid=CL_Y6I_t7IkCFQo_gQodX3imGg Sony DVP-NS75H Reviews. | resident headbanger | Capper I went to costco and bought a package that had a ton of cables in it. It came with 2 hdmi cables, 2 component cables, 1 audio cable, 1 analog video cable, 1 fibre optic cable in the package for 99.00. The myth out there is that you have to buy a 120.00 hdmi cable, this is not true, it either works or it doesnt. Also on new egg you can buy hdmi cable for as little as 20.00. Dont believe the aholes at Best Buy, you dont for your computer why would you for your TV? -1 I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review |

| I'm Diggin it! | I love my Sony DVD multiplayer. There's only one bad thing about it. If you put in 5 music CD's, it will only shuffle songs on one CD. It won't shuffle among all five CD's. My fix for this? Since I have every single CD I have owned for the last 15 years ripped to MP3 at high bitrates, I put it all on a single DVD and leave that in the player in disc position 5. When I want to listen to music, I just fire up that DVD and shuffle the songs that way. Forgot to add, when I went to get the HDMI cable for this player, Circuit City only had the Monster HDMI cables that were $79-$125. So I went to Walley World and got this one for $43. As for the DVD players... That's not bad of a deal. I just need to find out if that Samsung system I was eyeing upconverts to 1080p. That HDMI port has to be useful for something! - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 | |
