Here is what I got Buy the Mitsubishi 65" DLP Projection HDTV (WD-Y65) and other Projection TVs at circuitcity.com and even at 65' at 1080i is kicken.....There are a few up converters that do 1080p but not a huge difference.
I'll tell ya with 65' of real estate man I didn't think it could look so good......WOW I'm in pressed every time I look at it. Is it HD, Blue Ray ......NO but but then again the HD players are half of what I paid for the freaken tv.
I'm very happy with it.
I have pretty much the same tv a Rich and I can say when we went in and started looking the viewing angle was a concern. But 2 things
1. I'm all ways in front of the tv. who watches a movie for the %$@%$ side of the room.
2. Like Rich said the angle of view is 45 to 50 degree so it will never be a problem................All I need is a nice surround sound now and I'm golden!!

Might I recommend Paradigm speakers if you have a large budget. They're amazing. If your budget is around $1K, grab one of the Yamaha/Klipsch sets that Best Buy sells. They're pretty good.

Then go buy one of those $200 Samsung 5.1 systems with the 4 foot tall speakers consisting of like 3 tweeters.

They're actually not that bad. They have one with HDMI and the DVD player upconverts. Sounded pretty good. By Samsung BTW.
