| Colonel Calamity | hahaha good stuff as for the pack I suspect Favre will be back for one more year, we still have the youngest team in the league and he knows he is needed to help keep the training and momentum going. That way when he steps away even with mediocre Rodgers, the rest of the team can pick up the slack and take it to a few post seasons. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | Favre and Eli seem to be similar QB's from my perception anyway they both have the talent but their mental level of play is not on par with Brady and Peyton. |

| Colonel Calamity | As long as Favre has been around, he is in it for the love of the game. He is not out there for the commercials or endorsements. He is strong under pressure and just like in the post season snow game, he was out there throwing snowballs and having fun and that is very rare these days in any sport. I think Eli is starting out the same way and I hope he doesn't follow his brother. Payton seems to be too much of a camera hog so I see him getting hurt and dropping from the scene someday soon or his skill just drops like a rock. Same with Brady. One day he will take a major hit or his arm takes a beating and drop the Pats to a sucky record and retire a year or two later. Yet Favre has played injured, the day after his dad died, within a few days of his brother dying, after his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and threw great games each time as if it were a memorial game of some sort. What other QB (or outstanding player) have you seen that has been like this in the past decade or two? Very few if any. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! I'm not saying Farve isn't tough, he's just more raw talent than learned talent. You can add Montana to the Brady and Peyton category. | |
