Looking Good Rich, Thanks for the hard work and effort keeping it going. Switched between the different 'available' options, and tho I kind of like Andomeda pretty good, I think what you got now, is better.

EDIT: One thing though... I think the "Whats going on" section at the top is kinda crammed. I liked it better with only the "latest posts" section... Just my 2 cents.

everything is looking great... I just reset my default to the original dark HL... grey and red...

and I like seeing an extra chunk of alternative posts to the right of the latest posts... especially since they are from vendors and advertisers that make this site $$$

Actually, the linked reviews and such on the right is just us being a team player and linking other peoples articles. I think that people should read a variety of articles to get a good overall impression of a product....sometimes we see something that others don't, and vice versa.

I removed the ads from the forums, we'll see how it goes with server costs.....if the ads on the main page can offset the server costs, we'll leave it as is, if not we may put the Google ads back on the forums.

I take it that the costs of the server added up pretty quickly.

I'll be honest...I don't care at all if there are ads on forums and websites, but only when they're Flash do I want to block them.

yeah, the server is running about $200 a month, and the Google ads on the front page are right now making up about $40 of that (because I only have a few.......sorry, but we gotta pay the bills.

I don't mind the ads at all, unless there are flashing in my face and annoying. These aren't so, I have no problem with it. Whatever it takes to keep HL on the web, I'm all for it!
