I use it from time to time. If your phone starts acting very slow, and iSkoot is on, switch to the Chats tab. Last time I did that because it was slow and you guys had initiated like 4 chats with me. lol.

I just picked up a pearl today too... awesome, awesome phone so far. I love it!

after spending more time with the pearl, i'm loving it more and more. I wish the camera was better, but that's the only problem I have with it.

Just right now I have my phone hooked up to my laptop via bluetooth, and I'm using it to connect to the internet (the wireless we have at my work has all sorts of stuff blocked, and they don't like you using remote desktop with it either :P ).

And while it's doing that, I'm using it to listen to music.

I was also surprised how the msn live messenger mobile client... it's really good. It's really integrated into the rest of the phone (you can add people in your buddy list right to your contacts, call them from msn, stuff like that.), and even with 4 or 5 chats open it remains nice and responsive.

There's just so much taht it can do... i love it.

Ok so I'm with AT&T right now, we've been with them for 8+ years.

In November my 2 year contract will be up with my sweet LG CU500 (been a great little guy!), so I'll be getting a new phone.

I'm not looking for smart phones really.

The two on my list are the LG Shine, or Blackberry Pearl......
I really really like slider phones a lot, and I love how the shine looks and the interface it has.
But reading more about the pearl...... I'm just not sure which one to choose!

Pretty much, all i do is text and IM people (I have unlimited texting), and I do calling to.... duh.
So I don't need a bunch of fancy smanshy stuff on the phone.

Anybody here have experience with the shine?
If you were me, what phone would you get?

I don't know about the shine, but the pearl works great for texting an im. More so with im to be honest, it has a 160 character limit on sms messages, where my old ax490 could have 10 pages each with 160 characters per text... but I don't text nearly as much now that I can just be on msn all the time.
