There is my fear. I have set up a few DSL systems around here and they just plain suck. Thus, if I bail out of Time Warner (Road Runner) I may discover I just took my ass from the frying pan into the fire. This network worked great under Adelphia. Time Warner has managed to take a perfectly great system and turn it to the system from hell in a few short months. Go figure.

The good news is the cable TV package still works fine. Maybe I should watch more TV?

I thought Time Warner promises same day service. I've never had to wait more than a few hours for service from them and until recently, (they're up to their ears with digital phone installations) they've usually been here in less than an hour.

Here TW is the only practical internet provider since our poor telephone connections result in download times as slow as 1 kps. Talk about smokin!!! Unfortunately, DSL doesn't do well either because of the bad lines. One local company is providing a wireless service, but it costs about $75/mo. and the speeds aren't impressive.

Granted the situation, I think its going to take more than a few days to get everything back up and running in all of enterprise. It would really suck to work for TW if they were going to try and carry out the same day service today.

Actually I don't really like TW's policies, they block all .tk domains and other little things.
