I signed up for that USB thumb drive as well.... I got a mail about 6 months later saying "thank you for your interest but the program has ended and no more USB "keys" are available."
Then I did that webinar thing and also got a free full version of Office 2007 (they send you the key and you have to download it from their website).
Any other "free" promotion through MS that I have done has netted me jack squat.
The only thing I ever got from them is MS Office 2007 which I almost never use, especially since I can't even send any email out through it no matter what settings I use.
Good ol Open Office and Thunderbird.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Had to disconnect the HDD with all my movies and MP3's from this computer though. Don't want MS dicking around looking at my collection of "stuff."

And no, there's no porn in my collection. I don't typically look at that kinda stuff. Well, I sometimes look at it when you guys post stuff here....
Yea, I hear ya there Quake!!! I disconnected my second drive, as I have several important folders and files that I don't think is any of there damn business

Yep, same here Blake. Got the free Office 2007, but actually got the disk. Don't really care much for it, but what the heck, it was a free software package

I've got too much "stuff" that I don't want MS to know about... I'm passing this time.

I never got a question like that, only the basics "How many hours, computers, experience" and such. My favorite was when they asked me to fill in the little box with instructions on how to open the registry editor.
