In this package you will find two DVDs containing Microsoft Windows Vista: 32-bit and 64-bit version. Information regarding the difference between the two DVDs can be found later in this document. Each DVD has its own product key which will allow you to install and activate one retail license of either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows Vista ultimate Edition. We recommend that you install the 32-bit version. (the last statement is bold in MS's letter that accompanied the Ultimate DVDs)
Keep in mind that Windows is written for the masses. Also keep in mind that Microsoft realizes that the majority of people entering this program are not enthusiasts. Actually, they probably figured that very few geeks would enter, since most geeks don't trust Microsoft enough to install MS spyware on their computer.

Geeks generally have enough knowledge either on hand or at their fingertips to understand and solve problems that will inevidibly will come up when using a 64-bit system. The masses don't have a clue how to figure out the problem, and few know where to go to get information.

I personally would recommend to over 90% of computer users not to install the 64-bit version, unless they are prepared to learn more about their computer, and join the enthusiast community.
