We're voting for McCain here.
If Obama wins, Homeschooling is gonna be gone in the next year or two.
That means that I get put in Public school, and same with my little bro (7 yrs old) and sister (12).
I know I can live with Public schools for another two years, but I don't want me brother and sister being put through them, public schools are a bad place IMO, I've seen to many of my good buddy's go into High School and come out a different person, it makes me sad seeing all the kids at high schools......... the way they dress, the way they speak, and the attitudes they have.
I'm sorry, but Public schools is not the best choice for education anymore.

McCain is for Choice, letting the family's choose how to educate there kids and not the government choosing.

Funny video though!!

Agreed.

Most democrat politicions are as close to being socialists as you can get without actually being one...

I'm curious as to why you think obama is trying to shoot homeschooling down. I did a little research, and from what I can tell he wants to keep the homeschooling system as it is. I'm not sure where you are getting the 1-2 year figure.

In either case, do you really want to base your vote on a single issue? Public schools really aren't a bad place if you raise a kid to make the right decisions themselves. Personally I see homeschooling as socially crippling, but that doesn't mean I think it shouldn't be available.

Homeschooling isn't going anywhere regardless of who wins.

Me too, but we'll keep it open until it actually descends. What's neat about HL is that Capper leans more towards the Conservative side, and I'm a Democrat, so both sides have equal opportunity to draw ire from one of us if the comments get too out of hand in either direction.

I hope they both lose.

Parker, you don't think your friends changing in high school could be them finding their identity through social interaction? I agree the educational side of pub schools is crap, but at least they are exposed to the good and bad of life, seeing new views and broadening their personalities.

I hear ya on that, but what I meant was "turning for the bad", not just changing personality's, but like..... changing from a good kid that doesn't swear and stuff, to a kid who swears all the time. In that sense at least.

Thank you Rich and Paul for being here to keep us all on track!! lol

BTW, gamerfreak, I nor any of my gazillion other homeschooled friends are no where near socially crippled.....rofl....

This will actually be the first time I vote Democrat....like Bush Gore, its the lesser of two evils.

I backed McCain from the beginning, but its been one blunder after another, topped off with the Palin pick....when there were much more qualified people available.
