| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Ditto - Gmail does a really good job of flagging legitimate SPAM compared to other email services. |

| Is there any way to integrate your current email address into Gmail? Like someone sends you an email to your old address and it gets bounced to your Gmail? |

| Another trick that some people aren't aware of is the fact that you can enter your email address in a number of different ways and it will still work. For instance, say you're signing up at a site that you think might send you spam, and your email is example@gmail.com. You can give them your address as example+spam@gmail.com, and then simply add a filter for all mail coming to example+spam@gmail.com. This is also useful, not just for spam, but for keeping your inbox organized and automatically having messages put in certain folders. You can also enter as many periods as you like and it will still work. ex.am.ple@gmail.com would still reach you. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I always recommend setting up your GMAIL as an IMAP account, with all of your external email addresses being forward to GMAIL....that way you can get all your emails on your Thunderbird or Outlook account, while keeping them online (so you never lose them).....and so you can take advantage of the great spam filters GMAIL has. | I just ignore my Gmail. I don't get anything worthwhile there anymore. Never really understood the concept of free email, when you have your own personal domain. ![]() |

| Because it's better than outlook, or any web based client. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Jackass.....I said forward them to your GMAIL account to take advantage of the SPAM filters. I was also just advocating IMAP accounts, not necessarily GMAIL. Whats your domain? IMISSTHEOBVIOUS.COM? | Functional Alcoholic | Outlook and Thunderbird both have junkmail filters so if your email account doesn't catch it, they most likely will, and yes IMAP is preferred of POP. |
