Something else you could look into, since I know you were home schooled, maybe taking college classes online would fit you better. There are many Colleges now that offer complete degree programs online. That way you can spend your time at home earning a degree. This will be more beneficial then free software projects. If this is something that interest you let me know and I will give you a list of online accredited colleges. Last edited by Hitman; January 11th, 2008 at 07:08.

| Yuri, having a 4 year or greater degree has proven to produce a far higher income bracket. So much so that it is statistically one of the best investments people make in their lives. That investment pays off for years to come. However it is not wise to allow education to get in the way of entrepreneurial development, wise investing and cash flow wealth building habits. Many people are not "self starters" and need to derive their cash flow from others who have forged forward in business to the degree of needing employees to further their goals. If you are able to develop excellent money management, cash flow, secure investing and an entrepreneurial plan at the same time you get a degree ... then you may well surpass the need to be in the employ of others ... or have economic growth to where the time of deriving your cash flow from the employ of others will be short and insufficient compared to your investments and forging ahead in business. Oh ... and regarding Ministry ... if you love Jesus ... and your heart is right ... then the need for religious certification is irrelevant. Besides the best witness is being on fire with Godly passion and prospering in all you do. | Want me to ice him, boss? | Hi yuri....Im a 43 year old that did my time in the USAR after school.Went rite into the work force as a machinist for a few years while pumping gas part time for extra cash and washing dishes too! Well, that was quite a long time ago and now I have been delivering concrete for 15 years, union job, great pay, pension, company paid medical etc.and I LOVE IT! But....my brain got bored and I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could handle a college course. We have a local community college (Accredited) here that is very rounded in it's classes,if they dont teach it,you dont need it.They have it all,and are expanding as well. I took a lethal weapons course to be an armed security officer. It was a hands on and classroom type course.I wont say it was easy, because it wasn't,nor was it extremely hard.I did it because I wanted to be able to fall back on something ,should my job fail due to the economy today/tomorrow. Now I have a state certification by the Pa. State Police, that I can use if the need ever arises. My point is,some of the classes you may percieve as easy, which may be for you, will come in handy some day.You may end up being a teacher, who knows? These classes will be a requirement at that time and you will have it done already. You are young, get all the time in learning that you can,NOW! You wont be sorry for it ,or worse off because of it, later in life. Best of luck to you, yuri! |

Wow....just wow. I've elaborated in a PM........but you are what, 18-19? I know you think you have the world all figured out, but the harsh reality of life is that you are just starting out Josh. Take college in, enjoy the experience, and learn not only some educational material, but some life lessons as well. I don't think I've ever met anyone your age with an attitude quite like this.....and its scary, mainly because there is going to come a point and time when you are confronted with a real lesson, and are gonna get knocked on your ass. Good luck to you Josh, I know I and Paul wish you all the best in life, but pleasae take my words to heart. The world and life probably seem very simple to you right now, but you have actually experienced about 1/10th of 1% of what there is. If there was only some proverb that would help... Empty your cup or something to that extent. Not the one with the two girls... but two guys... The Story of Two Guys and a Cup... The Learned Professor came to the house of the Zen Master to ask to learn Zen. "You are most welcome, " said the Master, inviting the Learned Professor in for tea. They sat on cushions facing each other. Preparing to make tea, the Master set a pot of water on the charcoal brazier on the floor in front of him, while the Learned Professor began to tell of all of the books he had read about Zen. The water having boiled, the Master made tea while the Learned Professor told of all the insights about Zen he had gleaned from talking to other great scholars. The tea made, the Learned Professor held up his cup and continued to talk about Zen. The Master poured tea into the Learned Professor's cup. And he and poured...and poured...and poured, until tea was spilling over the top of the cup and cascading onto the floor. "What are you doing?" cried the Learned Professor. "The cup is full. No more will go in!" "Your mind is like the cup,"said the Master. "How can you expect to learn unless you first empty your cup?"
