If you happen to delete your recycle bin which I've done with vista a couple times you can get it back by right clicking on your desktop and select properties then change desktop icons and there you can check it to put it back.

Yes,an alcove with a drawer under that for junk.Two tier desk top with the monitor on top,and 3 storage shelves on the right hand side.HP Officejet 6210 all in one sits on top of the towe encloser/alcove.
