so they finally caught one eh? i know some researchers were trying to cathc babies and raise them in captivity to learn about their diets and growth patterns and so fourth. hopefully osmetime in the future they can capture an adult and keep it alive long enough to get some good data.

That was my first thought too, but after carefully inspecting the picture pixel by pixel I got to see the Capper-looking squid.

Interesting tid bits of info, though I didn't even know the urban legend.
If someone digs a bit further, I remember seeing photos of the opened carcass. Some... disgusting stuff... to say the least. =/ Really a monster.
