from how I see it, Canadian officials tend to take the stance of being that much above the public that they do not answer to the public either. Too deep of roots into the old days of Kings and queens and royalty and a ruling class. Sadly the US is ending up the same way, 10-20 main families are running the federal and state governments anymore.

It's not recent. Go back in our history and you'll see that there are large companies ( owned by families like the rockerfellas, gettys and vanderbilts) among others that have had a significant influence on our government and that won't change anytime soon if ever.

I just stumbled across this Candidate Match Game... What do you guys think about it's accuracy? It's kindof a cool way to see a breakdown of the different candidates, even if the questions are a little closed ended and difficult to answer how you really feel).

I did it twice with different answers and it put the same candidates up.

Its pretty accurate, I guess, with the questions asked, which are merely current events and not ideological beliefs. The results are based on the candidates current positions on the questions. (keeping in mind that some of the candidates have changed positions on certain issues for this election) If they had asked questions on economic/fiscal policy, my results would have been much different. (Rudy, Fred, Ron Paul)
