Exactly how necessary are heatspreaders/heatsinks on high performance DDR2/DDR3 ram?

How soon till flash memory shows up in desktop computers?

1) Is heat really a big issue currently with RAM? A number of companies now use heat spreaders but there are also a large number of products that do not use them and still offer good performance. Is the heatspreader really needed or for looks?

2) With the Flash Voyager design Corsair had created a nearly industructable USB key, is the Flash Survivor really has tough as the Voyager design?

3) USB keys get larger every year, will we soon see USB keys replacing external HDs for full backup and possible see corsair produce a pure memory based harddrive?

4) Corsair is branching off from memory to other products? We have seen power supplies and water cooling, what is the next new type of product we can expect to see from Corsair?
