DOSBOX does the job for old DOS games. And if you're too lazy/too young to type commands, you can use a good front-end called D-Fend.

Maybe the search engine spiders are using IE? :O

Don't know what in the world I would use DOS 6.0 for at this day and age, but still have a set. Unopened to be exact.

I also have a copy of DOS laying around somewhere in a box of beige and black floppies. I've got Win3.11 and Win95 on floppies too. In a way, I sort of miss the pre-NT versions of Windows. Windows NT's microkernel architecture has proved to be too slow with the newer, faster hardware where multi-tasking has become the norm.

(Ever noticed that XP takes a long time to end a non-responsive task? That's because the drivers are separate from the kernel, so ending a zombie task requires a wait on each parental dependency. With monolithic kernels such as Linux, OS X/Unix, and Win9x and below, the kernel doesn't have to wait on as many dependencies before it can quit a process.)
