I make $12 an hour and still have Medicare for my daughters and WIC checks and Food Stamp card (EBT). that is almost double minimum wage and we still need it. We have no debt, we have a car payment and mortgage and still barely making it... now I understand why there are so many trailer parks and low cost housing in almost any area, they can't afford anything else.
