Would have read a little different at my house.

A convicted sex offender died Sunday during a struggle with a father who found the naked man in or near his 17-year-old daughter's bedroom, police said.

The father is being held for questioning as police are puzzled as to why the father needed to use 2 full clips of ammunition from a glock 22 to stop the assailant.
The Father quoted as saying

You see cops in NY acquitted for shooting a guy outside a wedding a few years back, where the cops fired hundreds of rounds at what turned out to be an innocent man......yet they want to hold a guy who isnt a professional lawman, who is over the age of 60, in a dark house, probably scared out of his wits........our legal system at its finest.

I thought it would be taken wrong ...the way I worded it. You being on the west coast(no offense intended now) but us country folk/hicks here in wood lands would and do deal with these things in a different way....we say,if someone breaks in,and you shoot the MF for ANY reason,that if you shoot him dead,then you only have 1 side of the story to deal with....being,MY side of it.If they be dead,they can't talk,period,end of story.

Heh... Shame that our system would rather a woman raped and strangled with her own panties than to have that woman shoot her attacker dead. Wtf?

Slightly off topic but along the lines of shooting, or otherwise killing an intruder in your own home the State of Ohio finally joined several other states in doing something right.

What is known as the "Castle Law" went into effect here about a week ago. What it means is if you shoot someone on your home (or kill them any other way) you no longer have to have a riot act of why you killed them. You need not prove your life was in danger. Finally the homeowner has rights in their own home. About 17 other states have similar laws. Based on the "A man's home is his castle". The law also includes your property.
