Hey......for those that can't contribute monetarily....don't worry......we aren't the Church Of Scientology here.

Instead, go out and spread the word about HL....more traffic is also extremely helpful.

I've been watching this issue even before this thread. It's not like we're not thinking about it, and that a lack of a reply in post form means we don't care.

I'm personally thinking of a PC way to approach this...and nothing more or less. I'm personally mixed between a site I like at the same time as thinking it's prime realestate. I had plans to start up some side perks, like an HL game server on my own...or something like that. However, that's nixed if I convert that toward a monthly installment to keep a site up. So I'm conflicted myself.

I just figured $5 from everyone is doable, and that those that can pay more will do so. And I'm not the type, nor are many others, that would openly post that they're helping and by how much. It's like comparing paychecks at work or something...it just feels taboo.

Okay, I've moved the site over to the new server. so all the crazy stuff people have been seeing the last 24 hrs should be over now.

If you notice any issues, please let me know so I can look into it right away.

To those of you who donated, thank you very very much, I greatly appreciate it.......We need to get more people signed up for the VIP memberships, and need to bring in some new members to the site.....remember, traffic and growth are good....so spread the word.

Just some oddities that have started within the hour:

If it helps, started posting about 40 minutes ago and all was as it were. I posted once and had some strange bars, then the next post became that webtext. Seems to have hit at exactly 8am PST...on the dot.

And always wanted to ask about listing spiders as members visiting?

Goooooooooood morning sir.

That did it. Just caught it, and normally don't pay attention to that part. How about them spiders though...are those an issue? I'm no web guru (Frankly, I'm networking "we todd did"), but there's spambot issues that grow as other forums have grown. You're growing, getting great attention, and just sure those spambots will be aimed this way tut sweet.

However, I understand if they're not listed as real members and are just "online and here". Spam of popular forums is a major bane, and for some reason...they're just not here yet. I'm probably worrying for nothing, I just don't want them here, and those spiders as members kinda set off an alarm in me. I only see them in the wee lonely hours of the morning...as the pic shows who the wee lonely folk are. Capper's a bot! ;)
