| My going in was due to simply starting research ... not because they were at a target bottom ... If I was in the running for a cash prise I would have been shorting at New York lunch time on overbought and MACD fresh cross downturn stocks as I had done earlier. I figured it did not matter so I just tossed a pile of orders out there at a mid range. To properly buy ... one would have had to establish "vector" charting and done an overlay with the Dow and its downtrend vectors and establish a guestimate of the bottom and had buys there waiting for a fill. Setting up trend vectors on the individual stocks would not have worked except provided a 10-15% discount below my entries. Trending the Dow would have saved another 10-15% ... but I would still have dipped on the last downturn ... but be in a sweet spot for an "ultra-conservative" super high yield portfolio. If the fed invests in banking institutions that are payine a yield greater than their fed bond ... then there will be 3 pay-offs with this strategy [Dividend Yields, Stock Multiples in valuation, and market resurgence gains after 14K in the Dow. ... if they are throwing away money at dying, poorly managed institutions ... then pay-offs will be reduced. | Hubba,Hubba......Hubba | I don't understand how 2 different sources can show much different readings for a stock....like VSE showing CVX @ 63.12 and Market Watch at over 64 points at the same time. Is any of it truely correct at any given time? |
