Correction.... The prize was to be $75 and not $100. Damn Capper, trying to give away too much! :)

My original pledge was $75 to the winner and $75 to HL on a 50/50 thing.

Now maybe rather than a cash payout, the winner may want some hardware Capper might have. LOL

We decided to make it $100....a good round number for a super fun contest.......that I'm hoping Ron will set up again. thank you Ron, i honestly have to say this was one of the most fun contests/competitions I've ever been part of.

Tech Geek Deluxe is not eligible for the next contest, this was too easy money for him....I'm sure he was saying "suckas" the whole 6 months.

Ah OK and once again that inner great generosity of Capper has prevailed. Not at all a bad chunk of change.

There will be another contest. We will get to that in the next few weeks after this one is officially closed. Maybe run a shorter contest (3 month rather than 6 month) with a smaller prize so we could be open for more contest more frequent. A few things to think about. A few basic rules to follow.

I also think that Tech Geek deserves tremendous credit for sharing some really great investing advice. People would pay big bucks for that sound advice elsewhere. Thanks Tech Geek for your contributions to all of this and keeping it interesting.

Also, I should add that the idea for this was not quite mine 100%. I played the game in another forum some time back and thought it would be fun to drag here.

Ron

I would never say that ... I was eatin' it bad for 6 weeks till I decided to do a shorting strategy. Ya' All want the article I wrote for the next contest anyways?

Had they not blocked the website at work I would have been more active, and more broke. It was fun while it lasted.

Damn classic mistake ... Was holding 10K shares ... charts said AHR would go to about $6.50 ... but it had dropped to $5.20 or so due to the financial crisis in loanco's ... but it is as solid as a rock ...

So I sold and lost about $16K from the high ... Whatdayaknow ... it strongly rebounds to where it shoulda ... and I missed a $16K profit .... arghhhhh

We are going to put together another game, likely a 3 month duration with a prize. Any articles you want to contribute would sure as hell be most welcome. Feel free to PM me.
