| Screwball ... you can make the top in one day of trading ... with insider info ... or one day of trading with excellent technique and fast execution ... or do it slowly with expertise and patience. Hey ... I've been trading for over a decade ... so for me it is just simply putting in 10 min a week with a different trade system with different techniques and charting. So even if I got upside down by 9K ... I'd likely still play. I started with 10K over a decade ago. Spent $700 on a PC ... Lost 8.5K and "Averaged Down" on a stock starting at $0.43 down to $0.025 ... making my 48K shares at $0.03 or so average ... then it went up to over a buck with my out price at an average of $0.11 So it is an opportunity to keep sharp with substandard charting. I trade Forex now. Main: 3ghzQ6600, Gemini2, IP35 Pro, PC 610W PSU, 4GB 6400, XP Pro, 500GB raid 0, 22" + (2)19" WS LCD's w/ Palit 9600 GT and Dual Core Notebook. | Colonel Calamity | right... but a good majority of those in this game are either not traders, have no insider info or as drew said, cared enough to start but not actually follow through with it. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | Screwball ... such is why some get rich in the market and some lose ... and why casinos get bigger and richer. There is gambling and there is discipline. Gamblers lose ... the disciplined can win. Side note: My Dad was one of the first and best card counters in Black Jack and authored one of the first difinitive works on the subject. | Go ahead, try to get away | Yeah, it's tough being a complete **** to this, but it's been very interesting to me. I think it's a great way to learn before you start using real money to do similar things. | Good traders will train for months before playing with real money. Discipline and clear rules sets are critical ... especially for technical traders. | We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Actually, i got pissed at the game about a month ago....it didn't post like three trades in a row that would have taken me from about $8K to $12K....so i intentionally bought a stock after a big warning came out on the company. I'd like to make this a regular contest though....maybe every six months we restart the count or something.
