WOW hitman... Altria (MO) had the bottom drop put.... -$4,000
First thing Monday morning it dropped from 74 to 24 (approximate)

I wonder if that was a bug in the VSE setup???? the history all shows MO stocks in the 20 to 24.5 range

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Maybe I can get some money back. I remember last friday that it was doing good.

It closed friday at $73.83 and opened Monday at $23. How the hell does that happen? Where is Martha Stuart when I need her.

their charts shows it around the low 20s over most of its history....

MO Stock Charts - Altria Group Inc Stock Market Charts - Free Stock Charts

one key I learned here was buy in the evening and sell in the morning... many stocks are high in the morning and low in the evening

Therefore if on on some weird quirk I happen to win the prize reverts to #2.

Ahh, the prize. There will be a split prize. HARDWARELOGIC will split a prize of $150 with the winner. Think 50/50 here peoples. I will send a check (yes a real live no shit no bounce check) for $75 to the winner and $75 check to HL for its own improvement.

I see on person that has been in the game for a few weeks yet has not made any trades... Lord Gaebril.... may need to make a minimum number of trades (like 2) and they have to have had stocks in their portfolio for minimum 3 months (easily seen in the trade history), and at least 60% or more of their equity in stocks... someone can buy $50 worth of shares, sit on the rest of the $9950 and come close to winning... or buy in the evening, sell in the morning and get a large profit increasing their equity to $15,000 quick and still have almost all cash.... a few ground rules should be in order to prevent abuse of the system

You may be overthinking it a bit.

I see what RAID did... so he is really not that high up on the stack....
he bought much of his stock on credit... he bought $20,000 worth.... then sold it for a couple hundred dollars profit... did this with multiple stocks.. so his current CCU was bought off some of that profit but his $10,000 equity is almost all cash as he only has $300 worth of stock.
Thats how he is staying on top... not actual trades.... you bastard
I thought he was a skilled trader

Maybe buying 1 stock in one trade is all a person needs. If the stock goes up and that person happens to win, oh well that's the stock market, not everyone day trades.

Many financial institutions believe in long term stocks.

the way I look at it, if it gives you $10,000 to trade with, then spend at least half on stocks and play the market. Its not playing the market or the game if you don't spend the money. Thats like spawn camping on a FPS, in the end you will pretty much end up with the same as what you started with.
Now with real money I can understand this type of trading but not in a game.
