I'm sure riding the 4 miles up the average 10% grade to campus would let me dominate on my fat ass... but then again I have Fallout 3.....

lol
Maybe I'll sign up after I beat Fallout 3. That way, I'll be in prime condition to lose weight!

Look, if this is something you guys/gals want to do, and something that will benefit you, great.......but people, if it doesn't pertain to you, just ignore the thread. We are trying to do something to get people away from their desks for an hour or two a day.

This is a great idea! Just joined. When I quit smoking in January I started putting on the pounds. Injured my knee in June and I'm still hobbling around which has meant no exercise and even more flab.

Current weight: 225
Goal: 180
Pounds to lose: 45

Good luck to us all!

Carl

Well if you guys would have started this 5-6 months ago I could have been a larger influence. I have lost 70 lbs but am now workin out and bulking up. I'll join but I would be lucky to get 20 lbs off with the new diet.

If any one is curious I went on a low carb diet for 4 months (lost 60 lbs)and then bought a cannon dale bike that I road to work for the cardio. I had knee surgery and am leery of impacts on them (running/jogging). Little did I know I was going to love hitting trails around town. Liven in a college town helps too, lots of sights to see. :P

I am currently 250, my goal is not to be too lean but a nice round number would be 220-210

Oh and my inspiration, I wanted to be healthy for my grand kids, when they do show up. What ever anyone's reason, good luck.

That's fantabulous man! Maybe you could give some insight on the exact foods/diet/eating habit you chose...I suspect you cut out all white breads, white potatos/and pastas?

Breads, potatoes, pasta, and anything else with sugar. Basically it it is the Atkins diet. I lived off of eggs, cheese, and meat. Once week I would enjoy a treat, usually sugar free ice cream. The kicker is that I could eat all I wanted just no sugar. The diet is not for everyone, my ex couldn't handle it (not that I care). I missed corn chips the most and used pork rinds to replace the missing crunch feeling.

I don't know why but my favorite dish was fried green beans with spicy sausage.

You should have seen spoiled puppy this past week! He was getting a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Grandpa fixed his dinner every night and made him turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes and stuffing in his bowl with a little bit of puppy food. It was pretty pathetic!
