Happy new year. It's about time 2006 is over. First thing I did last night was called the pharmacy to refill a prescription. I lost my script insurance right after surgery & had to pay 100% since then. The one I filled is close to $700.

Resolution: I'd like to quit smoking, but am not ready for it. I need to get better organized & need to work on the Xeon. Dad's been gone almost a year, it's time to buy 3 urns for his ashes.

Dude I have had a hangover since Christmas Eve. I just keep prolonging it.

Happy New Year to all! I personally have been extremely busy with family in town since Christmas, and they just left yesterday, and also for yesterday, I had a 24 hour duty. This duty started at 0730 on the 31st and ended at 0730 this morning. I was the E-7 in charge of the whole post last night. For those with military service, I was the Staff Duty Officer in the Installation Operations Center. My FOD, Field Officer of the Day, turned out to be an awesome dude who loves motorcycles *almost* as much as I do. Believe it or not, we didn't have one single DUI, domestic disturbance or alcohol related incident. UNHEARD of for an Army post!!!!

I have to admit, I'm with Blondie here. 2006 was overdue to be gone it seemed like, I too would like to stop smoking this year and finally, I want to get back into physical fitness shape. Since my surgeyr, the Army has given me a permanent restriction on doing everything except breathing, so I've got about 25-30 pounds I want to lose. That would put me at 205 or so.

So this year is my challenge to myself to become healthier through better habits.

I wish that all of my friends here will have a great, healthy New Year!

Happy new year to all!

The wife and I spent the time in Biloxi, MS casinos (it only takes about 2-2.5 hours to get there). We left early afternoon, stayed playing blackjack until around 4AM, went back to hotel, slept for 6 hours, went back along the coast and got some pics of the hurricane devastation then back to Boomtown and played blackjack some more. Only out $200 or so for that 12 hour period so not too bad.

E7...so that makes you SFC (I'm assuming you're in the Army)? I think our new year goals are pretty similar. Let's hope that 2007 is a more harmonious year for all of us. Although, I am looking forward to 2008, nice round number!
