| Yeah, I know about ohms, volts, watts, amperes , etc..Was just wondering if it was the total amount of power going through, or just the current that creates the gas. Anyways yeah, after I reversed the wries, the water stopped turning yellow. I wish I had a good clamp on DC meter. My $50 craftsman isn't much use if your moving more then 20 amps, which I don't want to be. What was concerning me though was the fact that my fuse was getting quite hot, but not tripping. | The current flow is what produdces the gas. The amount of current flow is directly proportional to the voltage and the resistance of the electrolyte. Since the power is a function of the volts and cuttent it really doesn't mean much. Yeah, for measuring higher currents either a clamp on or the use of what is called a current shunt is needed. If you are going to pursue this, and want to measure current, I will send you a current shunt to use. I have several that were used for plating applications years ago. A current shunt gets used with your meter. The shunt produces a milli-volt drop proportional to the current flowing through it. Ron |
